Product Features for Multilingual Meetings

What is Real-Time Voice Translation?

Real-time voice translation is Qordenate’s core meeting feature. It listens to each participant as they speak, detects their language automatically, and instantly delivers translated audio to every other participant in their own preferred language, all without any manual input during the meeting.

This means a speaker in Arabic and a listener who has set French as their preferred language will hear each other naturally, in real time, with no delay in conversation flow.

What is Voice Cloning?

Voice Cloning ensures that when your speech is translated for other participants, it is delivered using a voice that sounds like you, not a generic AI voice. Voice Cloning activates automatically when Real-Time Translation is enabled. No separate setup is required during the meeting.

Voice Cloning turns automatically on when you enable Live Voice Translation during a meeting.

How Real-Time Voice-to-Voice Translation Works in a Live Meeting with Voice Cloning?

During a live meeting:

  1. Each participant selects their preferred language before joining
  2. Users need to enable the Live Translation button
  3. Participants will speak normally.
  4. Qordenate detects speech automatically
  5. AI converts speech into translated voice output
  6. Other participants hear the conversation in their chosen language
  7. Voice Cloning automatically starts when real time translation is enabled.

What is Universal Captions?

Universal Captions displays a live, on-screen text transcription of what is being said in the meeting, translated into each participant’s preferred language. It runs alongside translated audio, giving participants a second channel to follow the conversation, useful for noisy environments, accessibility needs, or anyone who processes information better through reading.

Captions are controlled by the host. Participants can enable or disable their own captions once the host has granted access.

How to Enable Universal Captions Alongside Translated Audio?

To enable universal captions during a meeting:

01

Enable the CC icon from the bottom of the options

02

If the Universal captions are enabled by the host, participants need to only click on the icon.

How to Disable Universal Captions Alongside Translated Audio?

To disable universal captions during a meeting:

01

Participants need to send a request to the Host for approval of access.

02

Once access is granted, participants can disable their universal captions by clicking on the icon.

What is VoiceBridge?

VoiceBridge is a text-to-speech feature within Qordenate that gives you a voice in meetings even when you cannot speak. Type what you want to say into the VoiceBridge text box, hit Send, and Qordenate instantly converts your words into clear, natural-sounding speech, delivered to all participants in their preferred languages via real-time translation.

VoiceBridge is designed for anyone who communicates better through text, including those with speech difficulties, participants in noisy environments, or anyone who prefers to compose their thoughts before speaking.

How Will Your Voice Sound to Others?

The voice other participants hear is an AI-generated voice persona. The voice is clear, natural-sounding, and reflects the language preferences each participant has set for the meeting.

Choosing Your VoiceBridge Voice

You can personalise the AI voice used by VoiceBridge from your account settings before or between meetings.

To select your VoiceBridge voice:

  1. Go to Settings → AI Preferences from your Qordenate account
  2. Under the Voices section, you will see your saved Voice Personas (e.g. My Voice 1, My Voice 2)
  3. Click the play icon next to any persona to preview how it sounds
  4. Select the persona you want VoiceBridge to use
  5. Your selection is saved automatically

Additional AI Preferences that affect VoiceBridge output:

  • My Language — Sets the language for all your AI features to follow
  • Meeting Language — Sets with which languages you participate in meetings; your preferred language is marked accordingly (e.g. Spanish (Preferred))
  • Gender Preference — Choose Male or Female to inform the AI translation voice applied to your speech output

These preferences are applied globally across all AI features in Qordenate, including VoiceBridge. You can change it anytime.

How to Enable VoiceBridge in Multilingual meetings?

To enable VoiceBridge during the meeting:

  1. Enable the VoiceBridge option from the control bar
  2. VoiceBridge text box will appear on the screen.

  4. The natural sounding speech will be received by other users, in their preferred languages.

What is Multilingual Chat?

Multilingual Chat allows participants to send text messages during a meeting that are automatically translated into each recipient’s preferred language. You type in your language; others read in theirs. No one needs to switch languages or copy text into a translator.

Translation in chat is controlled by a toggle. When the toggle is off, messages are sent in their original language without translation.

How to Access Multilingual Chat?

In a live meeting:

  1. Access the Multilingual chat from the control bar
  2. Enable the translation toggle button.
  3. Start chatting in your language and get Multilingual chats from other participants.

What is Smart Recap?

Smart Recap generates an AI-powered meeting summary automatically when the meeting ends. It captures the key points discussed, decisions made, and action items, saving participants from manual note-taking.

The summary is delivered by email after the meeting in English language only. The host can choose to send it to all participants or keep it for the host only, from within the host controls during the meeting.

Smart Recap requires the feature to be enabled before or during the meeting using the Smart Recap button at the top of the meeting interface. It will not generate a summary retroactively if it was not active during the meeting.

How to Enable Smart Recap for summaries?

For Smart Recap:

  1. Enable the Smart Recap button from the top center of the meeting.
  2. Press the Smart Recap button.
  3. A message will appear alerting the participants that the meeting is being summarized.
  4. When the meeting ends, the summary will be automatically sent, via email.
  5. The host has the option to send it to all the participants or the host only, from the host controls present inside the meeting interface

What is Meeting Recording?

Meeting Recording captures the full audio and video of your Qordenate meeting for later review. The recording captures the language output, meaning it records the translated audio that participants heard, not the original source audio of each speaker separately.

Plan-based storage:

  • Free plan users can record meetings and save them directly to their local device
  • Pro and above plan users can also store recordings in the cloud via their Qordenate account

Meeting recording is controlled by the host. Participants can enable or disable recording on their end once the host has granted access
